The NXTABL Coffee Table, crafted by an anonymous Hong Kong-based company, functions as a 43″ Android touchscreen monitor. Its hinge allows it to tilt for a more comfortable viewing angle.

While it appears convenient for storing digital board games, the playing experience seems ergonomically challenging due to the table’s height.

Having to clean it before tilting gets tiring, and moving things off the table onto another surface or the floor is inconvenient. If you keep the surface clear, it doesn’t really function as a table.

As expected, Kickstarter backers don’t share my skepticism. Currently, the NXTABL has far exceeded its $10K goal, reaching $160K and still counting, with 15 days remaining for pledges. The table, priced starting at $900, is set to ship in May.
