Webcams are like car stereos for laptops. In the past, car manufacturers didn’t prioritize the quality or power of their stereo systems, considering them secondary to the overall car experience. However, in the social media era, these systems have evolved into advanced infotainment devices, occasionally becoming the focal point of the entire interior experience.

Opal launched its first product during the peak of the pandemic, addressing the shift to an online-only workplace. The C1 webcam, introduced at a time when people were relying on subpar laptop cameras, held promise but didn’t deliver as expected. Since then, Opal has grown, both personally and in its approach to product development. The Tadpole, however, stands out as a significant improvement over the C1, offering better performance and introducing new features.
