The German automotive tuner Brabus, known for customizing Mercedes and Porsche vehicles, is now venturing into the RV market with an impressive new motorhome. Called the Big Boy 1200, this matte-black luxury RV offers 323 square feet of living space, expandable with four slide-outs on each side, adding an extra 15 feet. Inside, it features a spacious lounge, functional kitchen, unique bathroom, and sleeping space for four.
The Brabus Big Boy 1200 motorhome stretches 12 meters in length, likely inspiring its name. Built on a tri-axle chassis, this 26,000 kg motorhome is powered by a 12.8-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel engine, reaching a top speed of 90 km/h with stability maintained by hydraulically extendable supports. Its frame is made of galvanized steel, and the interior is accented with carbon fiber details.
While the Big Boy 1200 is indeed massive and powerful, it also emphasizes luxury. With an expandable structure resting on self-adjusting legs, the motorhome’s sleek black interior is designed for high-end living. It has a low profile with electronically lowering entry steps, leading to a dining area behind the driver’s cabin, featuring a black wood table with carbon fiber accents. The living room is furnished with custom Brabus leather sofas, branded throw pillows, and a premium entertainment system.
The kitchen includes a carbon-accented fridge, induction cooktop, oven, and dishwasher. At the rear, the bedroom offers a king bed, large closet, wardrobe, expandable work desk with a Paola Lenti chair, and a large smart TV. An additional sleeping area is cleverly hidden above the driver’s cab, featuring an electrically lowerable bed and a blackout curtain for privacy.
The central bathroom in the Big Boy 1200 is divided into three functional sections: an open lavatory, a rainforest shower with a floor-to-ceiling natural stone wall, and a toilet. Additional features include rooftop solar panels, onboard battery, fresh and gray water tanks, Starlink internet, a 360-degree camera system, automatic AC, and various smart home features. This luxurious package comes with a price tag of $1.5 million from Brabus.
